Health and Wellness for Mind and Body

What is it that defines the relationship between the healthy mind and the healthy body? What efforts do you feel are most effective at ensuring the optimum health and wellness in your life? What steps have you taken to strengthen your personal and business health environment? What steps are you willing to take to develop an environment of wellness for mind and body? How do you profit by improving the state of health for yourself and your partners, co-workers and employees?

These are the questions we will pose for the discussion group "Health and Wellness for Mind and Body”. With emphasis on raising awareness and formulating action initiatives for the participants, Loren Gelberg-Goff, LCSW and Carmel-Ann Mania, DC, co-founders of "Being Well Within”, will bring their unique perspectives and expertise to what promises to be a lively and enlightening discussion group.

We now know that more sick days are used for illnesses relating to stress than any other reason. Stress is caused when there is an imbalance in the relationship between mind and body. We do need a certain amount of stress to thrive and grow, but unhealthy levels occur when stress is unremitting and unrelieved. Depression, anxiety, low morale at work, irritability, and anger are only some of the ways in which stress negatively impacts our lives. Employers suffer when their employees cannot cope effectively with the stress of today's work environment. Families suffer when the stress and pressure of work and daily responsibilities overwhelm and burden everyday life. You suffer when the stress of work and family responsibilities depletes your energy and your ability to enjoy your life. Clearing out the negative effects of stress to find your balanced mind and healthy body, can greatly boost the "Wellness” factor to enhance the quality of life, work and family!

This conversation circle will give participants the opportunity to share what works for them and to discover new ways to enhance their health environment both in the workplace and in their personal lives! Loren Gelberg-Goff, LCSW and Carmel-Ann Mania, DC founded "Being Well Within” as a vehicle to bring tools, strategies and guidance to others and to change the way that stress impacts their lives. In corporate, civic and private venues, they bring their individual expertise and experience together to empower participants to thrive despite stressful situations. They published their book "Being Well Within: From Distressed to De-Stressed” in 2011 (Balboa Press) to share the message that "you can live from a place of strength, clarity and self-confidence”, and that "every person really is, and always has been, ‘well within'.”
