What People Are Saying About NJAWBO . . .
"It is my sincere pleasure to let you know that 2013 was the best year for my business. This would not have been possible without all the awesome referrals received from NJAWBO members. In fact, over 60% of my business last year came via referrals received from all the wonderful women at NJAWBO for which I am truly grateful.”
I was asked numerous times to join NJAWBO but I did not think I could benefit from the organization since my business is construction related. Until Linda Coppolino told me about NJAWBO's Procurement Event they hold each year, and she suggested I attend. I still did not join. Finally I joined at the end of the 2012 and since then I have enjoyed many benefits as a member.I attended a NJTransit workshop for free on certification for DBE Businesses, The Mid-Atlantic Procurement Event in Atlantic City where I made many new friends. I attended the Super bowl Host Committee Business Connect where over 900 Businesses attended! I networked all morning meeting so many different business people from all over New York and New Jersey. I was just invited back to attend the next workshop on April 3,2013 to have the opportunity to meet with NFL Contractors and their affiliates about specific procurement opportunities for the upcoming Super Bowl here in NJ. Super Bowl XLVIIILast night I just attended the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business workshop in LaGuardia College, NYC and enrolled in their free workshop . 10,000 small businesses is an initiative to unlock the growth and job creation of small businesses across the United States through greater access to business education, financial capital and business support services all for free sponsored by Goldman Sachs.I have been a member for just a few months and already I have improved my marketing plan with the help of NJAWBO.

Indeed, I enjoyed the NJAWBO Open House, earlier, today! I found the presentations to be quite informative. No matter how much you think you know, others may know something different that could only enhance your way of doing things. We all need that in today's marketplace and dire economy!
As one of the participants who has been a member of NJAWBO, for some time, I continue to be impressed with the efforts to bring "value" to the membership! Each of you did that and much more. Kindly convey my thoughts to both Caryn Starr-Gates and Rosanna Imbriano.
Again, job well-done! Look forward to hearing from you.

As usual...your staff and volunteers did an outstanding job, in putting together the 10th Annual Procurement Event & Expo! I am not at all surprised at the wonderful accolades that were provided by so many participants, during the sessions, the luncheon and even out into the parking lot! Your fine work truly gives testimony to the type of skill and dedication regularly demonstrated to help NJAWBO members gain access to procurement opportunities. Job well done!!! I am so happy that I had an opportunity to be there and to witness the splendor!

As a Corporate Trainer & Motivational Speaker for Positive Actions, most of my business is derived from referrals. One important industry segment that was missing from my portfolio was pharmaceuticals. I was the Middlesex-Somerset Chapter President working closely with the Secretary of the board. She left and returned to full-time employment. I remained in contact with her. One year later, she was part of a 10-member planning committee for an all day event. Because of my direct involvement with NJAWBO, I was referred to Johnson & Johnson to be their Keynote Speaker and Business Networking Seminar Presenter at their all day Women Leadership Initiative event. This exposure has given me access to new opportunities.

I cannot imagine not having NJAWBO in my life. Through the past 18+ years, the connections, friends, relationships, business and growth I’ve experienced are far too numerous to mention. And these were built through my continued involvement and volunteer positions on the chapter and state levels.

My family was planning a trip to Florida for a week. We were flying into Tampa and flying back from Fort Myers. I was sure a real car would cost a fortune. I was right. The costs I was receiving from the major car rental companies were in the range of $350 and up. Then I remembered that NJAWBO had Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a corporate partner. I called the state office for the corporate code and then called Enterprise. The savings through Enterprise was almost $200. It paid my NJAWBO membership for a year! The moral of this story is clear. CHECK OUT OUR CORPORATE PARTNERS! You may be surprised.

As a participant at the 2006 Procurement event, I was thrilled to see the large number of trade show vendors that were looking to do business with US, as attendees! Big names as well as smaller companies that could all be great clients! The opportunity to get appointments and applications from these companies is worth hundreds of dollars, not to mention hob-knobbing with Supplier Diversity decision-makers. The seminars on getting certified were also beneficial, and I look forward to this new world of opportunity. One contract could provide BIG returns! Thanks for providing the forum.
